  1.                             Atrial Fibrillation
  2. SYMPTOMS. Signs include pallor, fatigue, irregular pulse, weakness, feeling
  3. of fluttering in the chest, nausea, light-headedness and near-fainting.
  4. CAUSED by an above normal rapid rhythm of the atria which is the two upper,
  5. blood-receiving chambers of the heart. It sometimes afflicts a normal heart
  6. but it may occur with heart attack, excessive thyroid gland functioning,
  7. rheumatic heart disease and coronary heart disease.
  8. TREATMENT. Medication to reestablish/maintain normal heart rhythm.
  9. .Electric stimulation of the heart may be required.
